In 2019, the world got to experience the Power of Shazam on the silver screen in the form of the DC Cinematic Universe's 7th film: Shazam! Starring Asher Angel and Zachary Levi as Billy Batson/Captain Marvel, it told the tale of his debut battling Mark Strong's Dr. Thaddeus Bodog Sivana as he planned to unleash the Seven Deadly Sins on the world.
The film was a box office success, making $366 million on an $80-100 million dollar budget. Critics praised the film for its fun tone and performances by Angel and Levi, as well as the directing of David F. Sandberg. I personally agree, it's a very fun film. Between this, Aquaman, and the first Wonder Woman movie, I felt the DC Cinematic Universe was getting on track. Let's look at the trailer!
