Today is the birthday of legendary French author Jules Verne.
My first exposure to the author was through an adaptation of one of his most famous works: 1864's Journey to the Center of the Earth. It was in one of those large novels with illustrations in it. I'm sure I still have it around somewhere. It was a book that enthralled me as a kid.
