Now, I am well aware of the response to the trailer, especially since Michael Bay is involved. One of the big complaints I have heard about the film is the appearance of the Turtles themselves, being often compared to Shrek.
To be honest...I don't think the film will be that bad, to be honest. Yeah, Michael Bay will be involved, but he's only producing, not directing. And he has said his team will be working with the creators to tell a good story that is true to the source material, and Kevin Eastman has shown his support for the new film. Besides, it's sure to be better than that the film that the infamous leaked "Blue Door" script put out.
As for the Turtles' looks, the one thing that I will admit that threw me off was their size. These turtles are...big. They are big Turtles. I will admit, I also do think their faces are kinda funny (I think they were trying to go for a mix of human and turtle). However, let's keep something in mind. The Teenage Mutant Turtles are turtles that were mutated by radioactive ooze. A little bit of weird in their look is perfectly fine, as far as I'm concerned.
As for the trailer itself, it's gotten me very excited for this film. I can't wait to see this film, and it will hopefully be the first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie I get to see in an actual theater. I never got to see the previous TMNT live-action movies in theaters as I was only a kid.
