Cocaine Bear Trailer, My Thoughts

On September 11, 1985, drug trafficker Andrew C. Thornton II dropped a load of Colombian cocaine from his plane as it flew over the wilderness of Tennessee, as it was believed to be too heavy a load for it at the time. Thornton himself died when his parachute failed to open after he leapt from the plane.

In December of that year, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation had found the dead body of an American black bear. It was discovered the bear had ingested 75 pounds of the lost cocaine, which gave rise to the legend of the Cocaine Bear. Also known as Pablo Escobear, the bear's taxidermized body now currently resides in the "Kentucky for Kentucky Fun Mall" in Lexington, Kentucky. The bear's body was owned by country music legend Waylon Jennings for a brief time.

In 2021, Universal Pictures announced that a horror-comedy film inspired by the tale of Pablo Escobear was in production to be directed and co-produced by Elizabeth Banks from a script by Jimmy Warden. The ensemble cast includes Aiden Ehrenreich, Keri Russell, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Isiah Whitlock Jr., and Ray Liotta in one of his last roles.

Now, I must warn you, this trailer is NSFW due to some adult language and just a bit of gore. So, make sure you're not watching this where you can get in trouble for it. Let's look at the trailer!

Well. That just happened.

Don't you just hate it when you go to a friend's house and there's just a big angry black bear out of its mind on cocaine waiting to tear your face off because it thinks you're a honey pot?

This film ain't called Cocaine Deer, kid.

Yeah, let's not, man.

This can only end well. This totally will not end in disaster.

Well, technically, the bear ate the cocaine, but...to-may-to, to-mah-to.

Kid ain't wrong, though.

It smelled cocaine. And it wants more.

"Cocaine Bear want HUGGGG."

"Cocaine Bear sleepy."

He's right. That bear is going to be so cranky when it wakes up.

Those paramedics totally owed the bear money.

I admit, I was laughing my head off the entire time I was watching this trailer. It was so hilarious! I want to see this movie! I really do! I think it's going to be a blast. Thanks for reading this blog entry! If you liked it, show it off! Take care of yourselves, and each other!
