Terra Nil Launch Trailer, My Thoughts

One day, you wake up. You find that the world is completely messed up. The water is filthy. The air chokes. The sky is gray with smog. Well, you're going to have to clean this up. That is the goal of Terra Nil, developed by South African indie developer Free Games, and published by Devolver Digital. In this puzzle game, you work to restore the Earth to its original pristine state.  Let's look at the trailer!

Well, this is...depressing. What happened here? Did somebody let out a nuclear fart?

I shouldn't be surprised that somebody eating the Chernobyl Taco would lead to this...Welp, time to clean this mess up!

That's actually a good idea. We still got wind, so let's place a windmill.

And now that we got a windmill, we can power this water silo, which has a handy built-in filter.

Hey, we're getting some greenery already! So far, so good!

Alright, we got all this greenery so far. I think we're well on our way...WHO PUT THAT THERE?! WHAT EVEN IS THAT THING?!

And the wolves are sad. Great. Just great.

It's not a complete loss. We got this forest thing...what is this thing, anyway? Well, we got forests now, so that's nice. And now we have deer. And frogs. And ducks. Looks like that disaster was taken care of.

And getting out of here is a good idea right now. We got bears.

I want a Hot Wheels toy of that aircraft.

Yes, this looks like a fun game, but I want to make something clear. This is not a city-building game. This is a puzzle game. You're not working on building a city. You're trying to solve puzzles. I just want you all to know that. The trailer doesn't make that clear, in my opinion. This game still looks fun to play, though. I hope there's a demo because I'd love to try it. Thanks for reading this blog entry! If you liked it, show it off! Take care of yourselves, and each other! Stay safe, stay healthy, stay home, wash your hands often, wear a mask, and get your vaccine/booster! See you next time!
