Punisher Season 2 Trailer, My Thoughts

In 2017, Netflix released the first season of The Punisher, a series focusing on the Marvel Universe's resident war veteran-turned-lethal vigilante of the same name. It was a spin-off of the Daredevil series, with Jon Bernthal reprising the role of Frank Castle. Deborah Ann Wohl also reprised her role as Karen Page from Daredevil in the series. The series got mixed reviews (66% on Rotten Tomatoes), but it was nominated for several awards, including a Primetime Emmy.

This month sees the second season coming to Netflix, and they released a trailer! Let's take a look!

They need to fix the words on that sign. It bothers me.

Hi, Frank! How ya been?

Yeah, don't hassle women around Frank. That angers him. And when he gets angry at someone...yeah.

OUCH.

Shotgun barrel to the face. That'll hurt.

Another season, another adventure for Frankie.

Hey wait, is that a CRT TV in that hotel room?!

Man, so many guys want to get shot by Frank.

Trust me, lady. Frank gets ya. And it looks like he's gotten into another mystery.

You'd think Jigsaw would look a bit more...messed up. Maybe that'll happen later, like this is just the beginning of how many scars his face is going to get. Would make a fun running gag, his face getting more scarred over time.

You'd think the masks would have a jigsaw puzzle theme. Get it?

That's a lot of money. IMAGINE ALL THE COMIC BOOKS I COULD BUY WITH THAT MONEY.

Man, everybody's going to end up messed up when this is all over, huh?

Yeah, nobody's totally going to wonder about why this money has blood on it.

In case you're wondering, the song in the trailer is "Would" by Alice in Chains. It sounds cool.

Well, this sounds neat. I have got to get caught up on Season 1, though. I still have a couple of weeks, so I'll get on that. I heard Season 1 was good, so I'm looking forward to it. If you want to see my thoughts on the first season trailer, look right here. Thanks for reading, and if you want to give my blog a little extra support, throw a tip in my shiny new Digital Tip Jar!

Yoshi's Crafted World Story Trailer, My Thoughts

Back in August of 2017, I gave my thoughts on a teaser for an upcoming Yoshi game for the Switch. The things that sticks out to me was that the trailer stated this game would be coming in 2018. Well, as you can tell, 2018 has come and gone, and no Yoshi Switch game. Well, to be fair, they probably had intended it to be released then. In June of 2018, Nintendo had confirmed that the game was delayed to this year.

Well, that teaser would eventually become Yoshi's Crafted World, being developed by Japanese game company Good-Feel. They were the same company that developed Kirby's Epic Yarn and Yoshi's Woolly World. Nintendo put out a story trailer for it, so let's take a look!

I'm getting flashbacks to Yoshi's Story for the N64. The apples...the aaaapples...

So, the island has a stone that can grant wishes...is the Sundream Stone an alternate version of the Infinity Gauntlet?! Look at it! It looks like it has five Infinity Stones in it! One more and the Yoshis are your new gods!

I'm imagining some of the Yoshis on the island just sit and stare at the stone all day long. Kind of creepy.

Kamek and Baby Bowser are back, and they want that stone! You'd think that they'd learn not to mess with the Yoshis after last time.

Man, the Yoshis are strong! I bet Yoshi Island has quite a few gyms on it!

The Sundream Stone is not happy...

Don't you just hate it when you drop your wish-granting stone and it drops the gems in it everywhere?

I think we just saw the various worlds/levels within the game. I think we'll see a forest, a town, a city, a lighthouse?, a pyramid, a giant statue, and I think a garden. I'm guessing that the pyramid world will have some Ancient Egyptian aesthetic to it. As for the giant statue, I'm think maybe Mayan/Aztec for some reason? I have no idea. If that's the game's levels, then there aren't very many of them...

You know, I have to admit something. Yoshi's Story was one of my favorite games on the N64, and it has been a while since I played a Yoshi game. I do want to play Woolly World, and I'd love to give this a try. And holy cow, I'm coming up on 600 blog entries! I'll have to do something special for that! And I have also joined Digital Tip Jar, so if you want to place a little money in it, go right ahead! It would be greatly appreciated!

Carmen Sandiego Trailer, My Thoughts

In 1985, American company Broderbund, having already had success with the games Choplifter, Lode Runner, Karateka, and Prince of Persia, had released a little computer game called Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? In the game, you played as a rookie member of the ACME Detective Agency, tasked with capturing the members of V.I.L.E. (Villains' International League of Evil) and its head, gentlewoman thief Carmen Isabela Sandiego. Yes, Carmen is considered Hispanic...despite the character being inspired by Brazilian singer/actress Carmen Miranda.

The game was famously packaged with a copy of the World Almanac and Book of Facts, which could be used as a reference to help the player solve cases in the game. It would be regarded as one of the greatest "edutainment" games of all time, managing to be one of the very few such games that managed to be both educational and genuinely fun to play.

The success of the games would lead to a big franchise that produced other games that focused on Carmen thieving through the United States and even throughout history. The game's success would lead to a game show with an iconic theme song sung by Rockapella. It also featured the late Lynne Thigpen as the Chief. Her performance was so popular, she reprised it in later editions of the games. She also returned as the Chief in its successor series. It would also lead to an animated series focusing on a pair of ACME agents named Zack and Ivy chasing Carmen around the world. Rita Moreno voiced Carmen herself in the cartoon.

For me, Carmen Sandiego was part of my childhood. I played the original game, I watched the game show and cartoons, so yeah, it was a part of my life. So, I admit, I was excited when it was announced that Netflix was doing a new series focusing on the globetrotting thief, with Gina Rodriguez voicing the title character. And there's a trailer for it, so let's take a look!

Choo choo! All aboard the last train to Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Cuc...a-monga!

The animation reminds me of those Erin eSurance commericials they used to do.

So V.I.L.E. here is an academy for thieves in training. Interesting twist. What're the odds some of those students aren't there willingly?

The thing about Carmen is, she's a thrill-seeker. She really only steals for the thrill and challenge of it, not out of any real desire to hurt anyone. Nice to see that aspect of her character is acknowledged.

Carmen being more of an anti-hero in this version does make sense, considering that again, she steals or the challenge. Also, the more anti-heroic alignment is nothing new. The Where on Earth animated series played with it as well.

Looks like we'll get plenty of globetrotting in this series. That's good. The entire game's whole point was educating players about geography. This series has an opportunity to do the same. Hope they remember that.

I got a better one for you, Mr. Policeman, Why in The World is Carmen Sandiego? :P

I'm sure you could carry our tools in a vest, Carmen.

Well, this looks pretty neat. My only complaint is that they didn't include the Rockapella theme somehow. That would have been awesome. But still, I'm excited for this new take on Carmen, and I can't wait to see where she goes off to.

Legends of the Dark Knight #11 (September 1990)

As I said in my look back on the Crisis on Infinite Earths, the DC Universe's history was heavily altered and rewritten. Some characters had their histories completely erased and started over again, mainly Superman and Wonder Woman. Batman would get a similar treatment himself, thanks to the 1987 story known as Batman: Year One. The story was created by writer Frank Miller and artist David Mazzucchelli, who worked their magic on Daredevil a few years earlier (an example can be seen here).

With the popularity of the 1989 Tim Burton-directed Batman live-action film, DC decided to launch a third Batman book: Legends of the Dark Knight. This title would be rather unusual from most comics at the time. Every storyline would last about five issues, each with a different creative team, and had a more mature tone than the other Batman books. Many of the stories back then were standalone, focusing on Batman's early days as a crime-fighter. This version of the title would last until 2007, with 214 issues and seven annuals under its belt. Over time, it would start to have storylines of varying length and would be part of crossovers. We're going to look at the first part of one of those stories from the early days of the title: Prey.

Prey would be a post-Crisis retelling of the second meeting between the Batman and Doctor Hugo Strange (the first being retold as Batman and the Monster Men by Matt Wagner in 2006). Strange was one of Batman's first recurring villains, first appearing in Detective Comics #36 (February 1940). Although considering the crazy rewrites of DC history thanks to the New 52 and Rebirth, who knows if that is true anymore. He would go on to appear in various other media, including cartoons and the Gotham television series. So, how did this return clash between the Dark Knight and the Psychotic Psychiatrist start out? Let's find out with my first comic review of 2019: Legends of the Dark Knight #11!

The cover is pretty awesome. It's a simple cover, Batman posing, but the way it's colored makes him look rather monstrous. The black and red, the stalactites and stalagmites, the smoke...it almost gives the impression that he's not a man in a costume. It's like he's some kind of creature of the night, like a vampire or something. I imagine this is how criminals see him.

"Prey, Part One"
Writer: Doug Moench
Penciler: Paul Gulacy
Inker: Terry Austin
Colorist: Steve Oliff
Letterer: John Constanza
Editors: Andrew Helfer, Kevin Dooley
Executive Editor: Dick Giordano

The story starts with a group of Gotham City PD officers working on a drug sting. Once they witness the sale, the cops move in, but they get themselves a little help.

I love that the story's title is incorporated into the marquee. This theater must be playing the 1977 film because this comic was from 1990, and unless Rip Hunter was in charge of this theater, I doubt it's playing the 2007 film.

Batman captures the small-time dealer and interrogates him. The drug buyer explains he got his fix from a man only known as "The Fish". Meanwhile, the cops have gotten a ladder and are in pursuit. The buyer tries to come at the Caped Crusader with a knife, but Batman knows, like, ten million martial arts. He's able to easily disarm the man and toss him to the cops below. Batman is able to slip away from the cops, but they were able to catch the dealer.

One of the cops involved in the sting is one Lt. Maxwell "Max" Cort. And he's none too happy that Batman got involved in "his" bust. He complains to then-Captain and future Commissioner James Gordon, saying this "Batman" guy is bad for the police's morale. Gordon feels the opposite. He feels with this "Batman" guy running around, the cops don't have to stand alone against criminals, so it can actually be pretty good for morale. Cort feels that argument is for "weak" cops.

I like the subtle fore...shadowing there with Cort's shadow. Heh heh. Cort feels he's a real cop, and real cops have pride. He's furious about this bat-costumed vigilante "stealing" collars from the cops. Uh, Cort? He practically handed you and your boys your perp and let the police take the credit for it. However, Gordon is not in the mood for Cort's whining, as he has to get ready. You see, he's going on TV! Lucky Gordon.

Back at Wayne Manor, Bruce is resting after a night of punching criminals. He's watching "Gotham Nightime", Gotham's hottest local talk show.

On the show is Gotham's then-mayor, Wilson Klass. Gordon is there, too. The third guest is Dr. Hugo Strange, prominent psychiatrist. Gordon is rather uncomfortable on TV. They're debating this "Batman" guy that's been showing up punching criminals recently. Flass states that the Batman is a vigilante, operating outside the law. As far as he's concerned, Batman is no better than the criminals he fights. The host then asks Hugo Strange for his opinion. Strange sees the Batman as a man obsessed and paranoid, desperate for power.

Alfred asks if Bruce wants the TV off, but Bruce wants to watch. After all, it's free psychoanalysis. Who'd turn that down, especially these days? Strange elaborates, saying that perhaps maybe a traumatic effect drives this "Batman"...an event from his childhood, perhaps? Maybe a family tragedy? Bruce takes it well.

That had to hurt. Strange suggests that the reason for the costume and persona is out of a craving for fame, but not as himself. This leads Strange to believe the Batman has schizophrenia, perhaps a split personality. Gordon, finding this whole thing ridiculous, suggests an alternative theory: The Batman is not insane. He wears a disguise simply because it's necessary. The costume and persona gives him the anonymity he needs to do his job. It gives him protection from reprisals. Strange asks why he chooses to dress as a bat. After all, bats are frightening vermin. Gordon tells him that's the point. It scares criminals. It's simple psychological warfare. Criminals are a superstitious cowardly lot, after all.

The host asks if Gordon is defending the vigilante, and Gordon states the he has no use for Strange's psycho-babble. Flass then has a surprise for Gordon. The captain is being made the head of a special task force dedicated to capturing Batman. After the show ends, Mayor Flass asks Strange to serve as a consultant to the task force, as he was impressed with Strange's observations. Gordon is torn by this, as back in Year One, Batman saved the life of his son James Jr. Not to mention that Batman's been much more effective than the police has.

Back in his Bat-Cave, Bruce Wayne has found himself asking if maybe Hugo Strange is right about him. He ponders this while working on a little project of his.

Yup, say hello to the Bat-Mobile. The next day, Gordon is putting together his new Anti-Batman Task Force. And he finds his first recruit in Sgt. Max Cort. After all, Cort wants to bust the Bat badly. He also fits the kind of man Gordon wants for his task force: A good clean cop, but who is not too bright. The Mayor and Strange are discussing the consultation fee. Strange finds the fee insulting, but takes it anyway because he's got...a fascination with the psychology of the Batman. He's thinking of writing a book about it, too. Could you imagine if he did? Could you see the Legion of Super-Heroes reading that book in the future? I can imagine Hal Jordan owning a copy because he thinks it's hilarious.

Anyway, Strange demands full access to all the files police have on the Batman. He also wants to report directly to the mayor and not to Gordon. Night has come to Gotham, and it's time for the Bat to do his thing. Elsewhere in Gotham, a gangster named Manny "The Fish" Cordona and his two flunkies are playing some cards and enjoying some Chinese food. The flunkies are worried about the captured dealer blabbing to the cops and Batman. But the Fish isn't worried. He has a gun, and he doubts the Bat is like that flying dude in Metropolis. Unbeknownst to them, Batman is heading for them while on a Bat-Glider. Wheeee...

Catwoman climbs a building. Because she's going to rob someone. The Fish is also not worried about the cops, as well, they're easy to pay off. But Gordon is not one of those cops. He's Gotham's Eliot Ness, and he's put together a crew of Untouchables, one of them being Max Cort. And speaking of Cort, he's testing some of the men he's picked out for this new task force.

In his apartment, Hugo Strange is discussing his diagnosis of the Batman with some company. Sort of.

I honestly think there's something in the water in Gotham. As Strange rants, he manages to deduce what drives the Batman: he was the victim of a crime who became a Dark Knight to protect others from going through the same thing. Driven by the memories of the crime and the loved ones he lost because of it, although Strange thinks it may be a spouse. He opens up his closet, and stares at some clothes inside.

As Cort and his men race to the Fish's home, it turns out some of the men Cort chose were on the take. But then again, I can imagine Cort was suspicious about that. They put a siren on the car to warn the Fish. Batman makes his entrance.

Bat-Glider to the FACE! The Fish and his goons try to shoot the Batman, but he uses the darkness and their confusion to his advantage, kicking their butts...until the Fish has the Bat at gunpoint. Meanwhile, Cort had taken down the cops who put up their siren. He was suspicious they were dirty, and it looks like his instinct was right. He tells two of his men, Keegan and Lane, to watch the four dirty cops. It leaves him with only five men. However, they're facing only a couple of pushers, so he's not too worried about the odds. Cort and his men encounter the Bat.

Cort orders them to take the Bat down, despite his insisting they're letting the Fish get away. Catwoman robs someone. Batman uses a flashbang grenade and fights off the cops, all while musing how much of a disaster this has become. The Bat isn't supposed to be fighting the cops. He's able to get away, with Cort grumbling that the Batman is dead meat. The story ends with Hugo Strange wearing the clothes he had been eyeing in his apartment: A Batman costume that he presumably made himself.

As he puts on the mask, he rants about how much he envies the Batman...and how much he hates him.

I like this comic. I like this story. It's really neat seeing the early days of the Dark Knight, as well as the foreshadowing of the Batmobile. Hugo Strange is a scary villain here, coming dangerously close to figuring out the Batman's motivations, so the idea of him having his own obsession with Batman is a clever twist. It shows that despite his brilliant mind, he really doesn't get the Caped Crusader. His idea of what drives Batman could be seen as skewed and twisted by his own obsession and madness. He sees the Bat as a power fantasy, and as the story goes on, we see that Strange lusts for that power he believes Batman has.

I have to give a shout out to Paul Gulacy for the art. It's spectacular. It's very well made. Also, I like how the comic is colored. My dumb panel scans do NOT do it justice.

If you want to read this story for yourself, I recommend checking out the 2012 trade paperback Batman: Prey. It collects the Prey storyline and its sequel, Batman: Terror. Next time, we join Earth's Mightiest Heroes as they end up under siege...

Text Play: Pokemon Mega Adventure #17

Welcome back to the Akiba Region! And here comes entry number 17 in my Text Play of Pokémon Mega Adventure! It's my first Text Play entry of 2019! Yay!

I raced into the second floor of the Descent Tower, and got caught by a Team Prime member armed with a Zweilous. This battle allowed me to make a big discovery: Bug-type attacks can hurt it. Yeah, Dragon-type is weak to Bugs. I don't get it. I get Fire being weak to Water, Water being weak to Grass, and Grass being weak to Fire, I get those. But why would dragons be scared of bugs?

The Descent Tower has its fair share of wild Pokémon roaming the place. I encountered Sableye, Mawile, Swablu (as well as its evolved form Alteria), and Banette here. I do have one complaint about the Descent Tower. The wild Pokémon encounter rate is INSANE here. Seriously, it is. It does feel like at times that I can't take two steps before another wild Pokémon appears. And since there's no Poké Mart in Descent Village, I can't get any Repels to make this journey any easier.

The floors of the Descent Tower were swarming with Team Prime, but luckily, I wasn't alone. In a nice touch, there were people shown fighting them off with their own Pokémon. And after I beat one of the grunts, he freaked out when he learned I had five badges...somehow. On the second floor, I found some Altarianite.

Since I caught a Swablu in this tower, this will be useful. After I'll be able to use the Altarianite to Mega Evolve it into Mega Alteria. Inside the Tower, there are some rocks that can be smashed. I took the Gabite I captured and taught it Rock Smash with a Technical Machine because admittedly, I am curious about what those rocks are hiding. I hope they're cool hidden rooms. I went back in the Tower, used Rock Smash, and the game froze. It FROZE.

Thank God I saved often. I think there may be another bug here. This game has its fair share of them. This gave the impression there was something cool hidden inside this tower, but NOPE! Just a freeze trap!

Anyway, I hit the third floor, and I thought I was in for another battle with a Team Prime grunt. But it just turned out to be Looker in disguise.

He's investigating the place, and presumably infiltrating Team Prime to take them down. He told me that Ash is with Latios, and they're duking it out with Nector, the strongest member of Team Prime. In a world like this, one can assume that means he has the strongest Pokémon. He wants to alert Red, so he asked me to give Ash a hand. He gets his disguise back on and heads out. ...where is Red, anyway? Also, see that rock in the screenshot? This was one of the freeze traps I was talking about.

There's a bunch of wild Gible guarding the floor. Man, I really could have used a Gible when preparing to face Volkner and his electric Pokémon. The Gible line is Dragon/Ground, so Electric attacks can't hurt it. I found a Max Potion here. I think it's the item next to the Gible in the screenshot. Either way, it'll be a handy item to keep, just in case.

On the 5th floor, there is an rock you had to use Rock Smash on to go to the next floor. Kind of annoying as I had to go all the way back to the Pokémon Center and get my Gabite (it knows Rock Smash) to get ahead. Found a Max Revive, so that's helpful.

6th Floor! I fought a Team Prime grunt who had a Dragalge. My Butterfree easily took care of it with a Sleep Powder/Psybeam combo. His Kingdra also fell hard to my Venusaur. I also found a Full Restore and fought another wild Gabite. There are lots of them here in this tower. I can't help but wonder if they had moved in or something.

It's odd, because the Tower looks too well-maintained to be abandoned, and the ground floor showed people fighting Team Prime here. Maybe it was abandoned, and the townsfolk restored it for the Gabite? Would fit the general Pokémon series' theme of humans and Pokémon living together in peace. This floor also had another rock which I had to use Rock Smash on to pass by. I hate this.

7th Floor. Wait. What was that rumbling? That can't be anything good. Unless this part of the Akiba Region is prone to earthquakes. If that's the case, I hope this tower is designed to handle that. I can imagine that all buildings in the Pokémon world are reinforced against such events, because you never know when or...where...someone is going to be battling a Pokémon that knows techniques like Earthquake. But I did get a...rather pleasant surprise here.

I know, I know. What is Nurse Joy doing here? Why is she here? Well, honestly...I don't care. I really don't care. This tower is grueling, and she heals my Pokémon for free. I'm not going to question it or complain about it. I am just so happy and grateful. I am grateful there is a Nurse Joy here, because I wasn't able to stock up on healing supplies before coming here. She's the oasis in this desert. You know, maybe I can grind up a little bit here on this floor. Wouldn't hurt to strengthen my team up some more, and my Gabite is a few levels below my other Pokémon.

8th Floor! Here, you fight some wild Gabite. This tower must be their home or something. You know what would be funny? If they had a Mega Evolution. The stone used to trigger it would be called, if they were going by the traditional naming scheme, Gabiteite. Heh heh, that's funny. Well, that would never happen, because Gabite has a further evolution: Garchomp. And speaking of Garchomp and Mega Stones, I found another one on this floor.

Yup, I now own a Garchompite. That makes four Mega Stones I now own.

Ninth Floor! Please let this be the last floor! There's a Rare Candy hidden here. It's in the statue. On this floor, I find Ash, and WHOA!

What the heck happened here?! Ash, what did you do?! Evidently, Ash got beaten by Nestor, and now he's getting bothered by Gyarados. Well, time to beat Nestor down. He started with a Zweilous, but my Incineroar and Primarina took care of it. His Noivern laid a beatdown on my Butterfree, but I won out. His Gyarados was a pain, though. Especially since it could become a Mega Gyarados. Thankfully, Venusaur was able to wear it down with a Leech Seed/Poison Powder combo. Trust me, that Mega Gyarados was no joke. I wish I had Thundra the Luxray here. She would've fried that big bad dragon.

Evidently, my beating Nestor so demoralized him that he decided to quit Team Prime then and there. Huh. Weird. Before he makes himself scarce there's one more floor...and the Boss of Team Prime is fighting Rayquaza. Ash heals my team, and heads upstairs. Thanks, man.

The Boss of Team Prime looks like an altered Giovanni sprite. He was able to capture the legendary Pokémon. That's...not good. And it gets worse. He's able to make it Mega Evolve. I wonder how he pulled that trick off. You see...unlike other Pokémon that can Mega Evolve, Rayquaza doesn't have a Mega Stone. There is no Rayquazaite. It Mega Evolves after swallowing a meteorite...and knowing the move Dragon Ascent. So, does the Boss have the meteorite? And this Rayquaza has to know Dragon Ascent.

The Boss's new Mega Rayquaza is a powerhouse. He wrecked my Incineroar and Butterfree, but my Primarina managed to easily finish it with a Moonblast (It's a Fairy-type attack, and Rayquaza is weak to Fairy). Turns out this guy also has a Gym Badge...wait...is he also a Gym Leader? Hoo boy. No wonder he looked like Giovanni. I mean, it's a neat idea having a Gym Leader be one of the villains, but it could have been done better here. Heck, Red and Blue did it batter with Giovanni!

Ash and I notice that Red isn't with us, and Ash isn't sure where he is. When we leave the tower, Red shows up, and challenges us to a battle. IS HE KIDDING ME?! Thankfully, he's only joking. He taks me back to Fairy City...somehow. When there, we spot a man with a Unphezant.

Red says we should go back to Okimira Town. Evidently, something is going down. They can have a battle there. Evidently, here is where I can rest up. And I think I'll do that...and end this entry here. I'm going to rest up, and then...take on Red again. Where did he go off to?

Aaero Comlete Edition Launch Trailer, My Thoughts

In 2017, a two-man British indie game development team called Mad Fellows released a game called Aaero. The game combined elements of rail shooters and rhythm games, and it received favorable reviews. The game was originally released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Microsoft Windows, and now it's come to the Nintendo Switch.

So, what is Aaero? Well, basically...you play as a spaceship flying around various worlds, ride ribbons of light, and shoot enemies. It's not complicated, it's not fancy, but some of the best games have simple, yet addictive gameplay. So, for my first entry looking at a video game trailer for 2019, let's take a look at the launch trailer for Aaero!

I have to admit, the game looks really good. I think that is an alien temple. And there's some ruins. It gets the wheels of my imagination turning. What civilization could have lived here? What were they like? What games did they play?

I wonder what the ribbons of light are for? Are they a bonus stage? Are they for farming points? And what built that tunnel?

Those rock formations do not look natural. Something carved the rock to look like that. I actually am really fascinated by them.

WELCOME TO THE HIDDEN TEMPLE. I AM OLMEC, TRY TO TAKE MY TREASURES. ...That game show was awesome.

In case you're wondering, the song in the trailer? It's called "Pure Sunlight" by Mr. FijiWiji and AgNO3, featuring vocals by Laura Brehm. Yes, those are the artists' nom de guerre.

Gotta shoot down the StarFox walker. Are we working for Andross in this game?!

Ooh, I think we're inside a giant spaceship now! Or space station! Star Wars vibes!

Sandworms. Somewhere, Beetlejuice is shaking in rage/fear and Paul Atreides is hoping it left behind some mélange.

Giant spider. Wait, between this and the sandworm, is this game referencing the Beetlejuice animated series?

I get the feeling the creators of this game are StarFox fans, based on that locking on multiple enemies thing.

I take it those packs had additional levels, and stuff like that. The skins look neat.

Well, this game looks like a nice bit of fun. I haven't really played a rhythm game since Guitar Hero, so I think I'd give this a try. It's just I like to play games on mute to not inconvenience or bother others. But hey, that's why we have earbuds!

New Year's Day!

Happy New Year's Day, everyone!

I hope everyone out there had a very nice day today! Hopefully, your 2019 has gone off to a great start, and it's a great year for you.
