Lightyear Trailer

In 1995, Buzz Lightyear of Space Command debuted in the Pixar film Toy Story. The character would go on to be one of the leads of the films' main sequels, and even get his own animated series. Since the completion of Finding Dory, co-director Angus MacLane pitched the idea of an origin story for Buzz Lightyear, the character whose toy was one of the main characters of the Toy Story series. MacLane wanted the film to be a tribute to the science-fiction films he loved growing up. Let's look at the trailer!

DOOM shot for the helmet.

A year of work for a four-minute flight...that seems like a massive rip-off.

They really should take care of those tentacle rats. Breed out of control, and then things get blown up.

"You're welcome."

"We've been here for a year, but we haven't bothered to name this planet. I suggested Earth-2, but everyone called me a nerd."

Hey, dilthium crystal!

"Oh my God, it's full of stars!"

StarrrrrMAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNN...

Robo-kitty! I want the robo-kitty!

ZURG!

"What a weird dream...that wasn't a dream, was it?"

Well, this looks like a fun little movie! I loved the Toy Story movies, so I would gladly give this a shot. It makes my Star Trek-loving heart smile seeing a film like this from Pixar.
