Bullet Train Trailer, My Thoughts

In 2021, Japanese mystery author Kotaro Isaka wrote a novel called Maria Beetle. It would be published in English under the title Bullet Train. It told the tale of Ladybug, a retired assassin who is brought back by his handler, the titular Maria Beetle, for one last job. It's a simple one: collect a briefcase on a bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka.

But it's never that simple. Evidently the contents of this briefcase are in high demand, as Ladybug finds himself facing a whole bunch of assassins for the case. And now it's been adapted into an ensemble film, starring among others, Zazie Beets (of Deadpool 2 fame. This film is also directed by David Leitch, who also directed this film), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (you may know him as Quicksilver from Avengers: Age of Ultron), Brian Tyree Henry (from Eternals), rapper Bad Bunny, Sandra Bullock, and Brad Pitt. Let's look at the trailer!

Hey, it's Mt. Fuji!

Don't you just hate it when you take a relaxing ride on a bullet train and someone tells you they have a gun under your table?

Ooh, the Quiet Car. Sounds...peaceful.

Never underestimate who you might be on a train with.

Fight!

"I just want to live quietly, man!"

A train full of assassins. What's the worst that could happen?

Careful dude, Bad Bunny is no creampuff. You saw him at WrestleMania?

I am very amused by the Japanese cover of "Stayin' Alive".

I hope Ladybug gets to get plenty drunk after all this. He clearly would have earned it.

Man, even cute mascots want to kill this guy?! What is even in this briefcase? The cure for cancer?!

Heh heh, water container to the noggin. That's a concussion right there.

Well, this looks like it'll be a fun watch. I got some chuckles from this trailer. It looks like it will be one of those films that you can turn your brain off and enjoy. the fight scenes look like they'll be quite interesting to watch.
