Central Intelligence Review

Sometimes to save the world, all you need is a little heart, and a big Johnson. Well, Kevin Hart and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, that is. And they are saving the world in Central Intelligence!

Central Intelligence tells the tale of Calvin Joyner (Kevin Hart), a former high school all-star who has grown to become an accountant. His twenty-year high-school reunion is coming up, and he doesn't feel up to going. That is, until he reunites with Bob Stone (Dwayne Johnson), a bullied classmate who has grown into an awesome secret agent. Stone needs Joyner to help save the world...or is he up to something more sinister?

The biggest strength of this film to me was Johnson and Hart's chemistry. They mesh very well together, and the funniest moments of the film are the two interacting with one another. I would love to see those two do another comedy together, maybe a sequel to this one if it does well enough. I did feel that Johnson's character did come off as a bit too excitable and silly at times, but it was something that did not ruin the film for me.

This film was hilarious, and I laughed quite a bit during it. I did feel the story was a bit thin and paint-by-numbers, but the chemistry between Johnson and Hart was the draw of the movie, and their interactions are fantastic. You can bet they had a blast doing scenes together. There are also some really heartwarming moments in the film, which was nice. The reunion scene also had a very surprising cameo in it.

If you want some silly laughs for a couple hours, give this film a look.
