This year marks the 240th birthday of America! Yup, 240 years ago, America as we know it was born thanks to the Continental Congress declaring themselves a new independent nation by adopting the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
On this day, we celebrate this day by enjoying barbecues, the summer warmth and sun, and it ends with lovely firework displays. I'm looking forward to the fireworks...even though my cats are not.
