Easter is a day that in Christianity, is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Here in the US, it's not a federal holiday, but it is a public one in some states. Easter is a holiday celebrated around the world. Ever heard of Faberge eggs? They were created as Easter gifts to the Russian royals. And in Australia, they don't have the Easter Bunny handing out colored eggs. Bunnies are not very liked down there, so they have an Easter Bilby instead. And their Easter is associated with harvests, as it's the fall down there.
