Bad Boys for Life Trailer, My Thoughts

In 1995, Columbia Pictures released the action/comedy buddy cop film Bad Boys. The film was the directorial debut of Michael Bay, whom is most known for being hated by fans of the Transformers franchise these days. The film starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami PD narcotics detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey, who have to switch identities to help find heroin stolen from a police vault.

The film was a box office success, but it was met with mixed reception among critics. Lawrence and Smith were praised for their chemistry, but the film was seen as formulaic. In 2003, Lawrence and Smith reprised their identities for the sequel Bad Boys II. In this film, Burnett and Lowrey have to investigate a drug smuggling ring in Miami. The sequel was given negative reviews by critics, but some have praised it for its visual effects and action sequences. Bad Boys II was a modest financial success at the box office.

The series became a minor franchise, with a videogame tie-in called Bad Boys: Miami Takedown, and an upcoming TV spin-off called L.A.'s Finest focusing on Gabrielle Union's character from Bad Boys II. And now, a third film in the Bad Boys series is on its way, with Smith and Lawrence reprising their roles one more time to bring a third dose of action, mayhem, and laughs. So, let's look at the trailer for Bad Boys for Life!

Now, I do feel the need to warn you. This trailer does have NSFW language in it, so please keep that in mind before playing this. Thank you. You have been warned.

Ooh, pretty car.

Count on rich kid Burnett to have a nice car. It's totally going to get blown up.

Oops, ha ha! That's great! Poor Lowrey.

"Mike, do you have to be so combative?!" That's from Bad Boys II. Burnett always has to be aggressive!

I dunno, Mike. His fist seemed to penetrate your jaw pretty good.

Gosh, Miami is pretty at night.

Hey, it's great to see Joey Pants back as Captain Howard. I'm surprised Howard has not had at least one heart attack thanks to Burnett and Lowrey's antics.

Burnett is in a Purple Haze...

Yeah, we're getting another insane car chase! I really liked the one with the car carrier in the last movie.

Oh, dear. Hope whoever is in that gurney will be okay.

Only in a gunfight will these two yell about glasses.

Wouldn't be a Bad Boys movie without things getting blown to smithereens.

Those young cops are going to do it again, guys. Just let it go.

I am legit excited for this movie. I enjoyed the last Bad Boys movie, and this trailer made me laugh quite a bit. I can't wait to see Will Smith and Martin Lawrence back in action. I did notice them talking about doing one last adventure in the trailer. It made sense the lines came from Lowrey, as he was always the character that was the "calmer" of the two. The Bad Boys films to me were the type of movies that you watched when you wanted to have some mindless fun for a couple of hours.

Thanks for reading this blog entry! If you liked it, spread it around!
