Road Redemption Launch Trailer, My Thoughts

In 2017, Pixel Dash Studios and EQ Games developed a vehicular combat/racing game called Road Redemption. The game was originally released on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Basically, the game is a spiritual successor of the Road Rash game series, a classic series of games in which you play a motorcyclist who participates in illegal street races. In those games, a player could use weapons to smack other racers off their bikes.

This year, Road Redemption is coming to consoles. The PS4, the Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch will all witness the road seeking redemption. So, let's take a look at the Switch launch trailer!

Those graphics look good.

Let's go off the ramp! WHEEEEEEEEE!

Ahhh, a nice motorcycle race down the roads of America. A wonderful way to spend time with and bond with your friends. One where you can shoot and kick them off their bikes.

Play online with 10 friends. Does that mean real-life friends or friends you make over the game console?

Well, splitscreen for two-player, that's a given.

...Did that guy steal that barb wire baseball bat from Mick Foley? Or maybe Negan? Probably Harley Quinn.

Talk about getting hammered.

Ooh, you can upgrade bikes and weapons. Neat. I wonder how deep the player and bike customization is.

Ow.

Ouch.

That'll hurt.

Yeah, they'll be spending a week putting that guy back together for the funeral.

This is how Santa spends his off-time.

There's a roguelike campaign? Neat. That appeals to me.

Ouch. Ow.

Yeah, that dude should say goodbye to a couple limbs.

Well, this looks like a ton of fun. I hope there's a demo out. I can imagine players getting plenty of laughs and getting creative with ways to take out other players.
