Movie studios have also put spots in during the big game, and Marvel Studios is no exception. They've put out a short spot for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's upcoming 22nd film: Avengers: Endgame. Let's take a look!
Brief flashes of how we got here.
I love how they personalize the Marvel Studios logo here. The fading to dust is a nice touch.
Wow. New York has seen...better days. Look at this place. This also hints something scary: That quite a bit of time has passed between this film and the events of Infinity War. See, this was one of the big flaws of Thanos's plan. Killing off half the life in the universe wasn't magically going to solve everything, it was just going to create a whole new set of problems.
This must be some kind of support group. Maybe Cap is going there to stay sane. Considering how hard he was hit with Bucky's dusting (not to mention Peggy died during Captain America: Civil War), I can imagine he's going to need a bit of extra support to get through this and lead the Avengers to get some payback.
Tony Stark and Nebula seemingly trying to repair or build something there. Considering his state in the first Endgame trailer that was released, it does make we wonder. Did he and Nebula try to head to Earth together and end up going separate ways? Did Nebula die before Tony? Curiouser and curiouser...
I wonder what the surviving Avengers are seeing? Maybe Carol Danvers' arrival on Earth? Tony making it home after all?
I think Rocket is heading to the Barton family's farm.
Who's the blonde there? Is that Sharon Carter? Can't be Black Widow, her hair's too long. Or maybe she grew it out? Would make sense with a time skip. I wish I could get a better look at her face. Either way, I would not want to be in her sights.
Ant-Man and War Machine getting ready for some action. Welcome to the Avengers, Scott Lang. We hope you survive.
Is Thor going to Thanos's farm world? That would make sense. Remember, in Infinity War, Thanos taunted Thor by telling him he should have gone for the head. I can imagine the God of Thunder being haunted by that and wanting to make up for it in the only way he knows how.
Hi, Hawkeye!
Cap's tightening the strap!
I love that shot of the Avengers walking with what looks like the sun rising. A classic bit of symbolism here.
I liked this spot! I can't wait for the full second trailer. I have heard that they're only going to use the first fifteen minutes of the film for promotion, and if all this is from the first fifteen minutes...I think we're going to be in for a heavy film. In a good way.
